Director of Business Management Program at USC Beaufort, September 1989 to Present

Duties: Provide administrative coordination for program at Beaufort, SC, regional campus of the University of South Carolina. Serve as academic advisor for business students at multiple locations (Downtown Beaufort, Parris Island, USMC Air Station, and Hilton Head Island). Teach classes for management major, including Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, Human Resource Management, and Economic Enterprise Institute Internship. Serve on accreditation committee and other various faculty and administration committee assignments as needed.

Consultant to Managers in Business and Industry, December 1987 to Present

Organizational Development Consultant, St. Simons Island, GA

Duties: Provide consulting services to management, including organizational assessment, assessment of needs for change, program planning, training, career development for individuals and groups. Training programs include customer service, communication skills, behavior management, time management, stress management, analyzing performance problems, critical incident management, teambuilding, and related topics. Advise managers on policies and procedures, selection and retention of employees, problem solving and goal setting. Worked with St. Johns River Community College and Gulf Coast Community College on Sunshine State Skills Grant Program (Funded by Florida Lottery Proceeds to Education).

Duties: Teach classes for college transfer, business, vocational and continuing education students. Courses include psychology, supervisory development, and human relations. Advise students in the General Education Program and serve on committees, including accreditation and standing activities.

Duties: Provide training on behavior management, communication skills, analyzing performance problems, time management, stress management, and work group functioning.
