TITLE: Management Information Systems
DESCRIPTION: A study of the concepts, interactions and functions of major business systems with particular emphasis on the problems and issues related to computer based systems. Included are concepts of designing information systems, collecting and processing data, reporting results of operations and controlling the business organization.
PREREQUISITE: Junior standing and completion of ACCT 226 and CSCI 101/ABUS 310/MGSC 190 (or demonstration of skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications)

REQUIREMENTS: Discussion questions at the end of each chapter will be answered and submitted for credit as part of the grade. Each chapter will be worth 20 points for a total of 300. Four project assignments will each be worth 100 points. The assignments will include outside work by the student and oral presentations to the class.
Grading Scale: 90-100 = A; 80-89 = B; 70-79 = C; 60-69 = D; < 60 = F
ATTENDANCE: The USCA attendance policy will be followed. To earn credit for the course, students must attend 75% of the classes.
