Project 1: Word
Processing, Internet/E-mail/Web Skills (Due:
February 4, 1999)

set up an E-mail account
(if you don't have one) and send a message to confirm address

send and receiveE-mail
with attachments (from this assignment)

design one web page that
serves as a resume related to your project and post using FTP
-
use TextArt or WordArt
to design the logo of the organization and use in letter and
brochure

create letterhead and
write
one form letter with an envelope
-
create a data source
and merge with the form letter and envelope
-
design one brochure (with
six panels) and insert an image
-
create a newsletter with
two pages using columns, headlines, droped characters plus graphics
Use templates or wizards for
any tasks for which they are available in your applications. The final
products will be formatted (except envelopes) to fit on 8½ x 11
sheets (brochure on the front and back).
Project 2: Spreadsheet
Skills (Due: March 4, 1999)

create a budget for the
business with multiple pages

set up a loan analysis
to show interest, payments, etc.

use a spreadsheet for an
inventory

design sales reports
for at least six months (multiple pages with a summary page) with a graph
-
drag and drop the graph
into a text document

create a ledger for accounts
receivable (will include five accounts)

set up a database and
sort
it

publish at least one
file to HTML format
Project 3: Database
Skills (Due: April 1, 1999)

create one database minimum
of five account numbers (organization & contact names, addresses,
telephone numbers)

produce at least one
custom
form, one report, and one query

link a spreadsheet to
the database
-
publish the databse
to HTML format
Project 4: Slide Show
Skills (Due: April 22, 1999)

produce a slide show
using an outline created in a word processing application

insert a chart (organizational
or similar) in the slide show

insert an object (photo
or graphic image) into a slide
-
publish the slide show
to HTML
