Course Schedule | Requirements | Learning Objectives | Return to Syllabus |
Project 1 | Project 2 | Project 3 | Project 4 |
Projects will be simulations of a business (unless someone has a real business they want to use). Relate all project assignments to that one business idea. Individual students may use software applications they have at home for the project components they submit.
It is acceptable and even desirable for students to help each other learn to use the applications. It is not acceptable for one person to do the work for others. Competency testing will be used to evaluate individual capabilities.
All assignments should be submitted electronically, either as E-mail attachments or on disk. Please remember to utilize spell-checking and grammar checking to complete all projects for submission. It is appropriate for one person to "proof" the work of others before submission, but this should not be substituted for the automated methods provided in applications.
Early submissions will be accepted and students can make an appointment to review them for feedback. Revisions are allowed within the stated assignment periods.
Appointments can also be made to meet in the networked classroom or computer lab for assistance during the development of any project.
Please ask questions if any information is unclear.
Networked Classroom Procedures: All student files should be set up on the "A" drive of the computer! Do not use the "C" drive of the computer to store your files. If you are uncertain about the procedure for making sure you follow this rule, please ask for assistance from the instructor or go to the computer lab. You will need to bring floppy disks to class!
Procedural note: exit all programs on the computer before you go through the shut down procedure. Do not turn it off. Thanks!
